In 1869, our founder Genbei Shigemura started “Tonbi” (broker) of tea merchant in
Yamashiro-cho, Kyoto located in the middle of tea production local called Ujidahara,
Naratahara, Kyoto-uji. Ever since then we challenge new things that suits each era
continuously to contribute toward healing people’s hearts and leading into healthier,
richer life through tea.
